| The
Duomo dates back to 1300 and is the best example of Gothic-Lombard

The Castello Sforzesco |
| A majestic building which with
its mass dominates the historic center of Milan, Castello
Sforzesco contains various museums, wonderful Gothic-Renaissance
courtyards and spectacular rooms, designed by Leonardo
Da Vinci and frescoed by Bramante. Behind the Castello
stretches the beautiful Parco Sempione, an oasis in the
heart of Milan. |
|
Santa Maria delle Grazie |
| This is an important Renaissance
work built in the second half of the fifteenth century.
Famous for its apse and marble door attributed to Bramante
as well as the last supper by Leonardo Da Vinci, one of
the most famous works of art of all time. |
|
The Navigli |
| The area where Naviglio Grande
and Naviglio Pavese run is one of the prettiest spots
of Milan: The Navigli are flanked with old characteristic
"case di ringhiera" (typical houses with open
balcony), antique shops, and above all loads of cafes,
restaurants and historic bars where live music is played
and the banks are filled with people from April to September. |
